3 stars (Average Product) - I was not that impressed by this product. It found some spyware, but I found "Scan Spyware" [...] software to be much more comprehensive and offer better protection. I am in no way affiliated with that company, I just like their product. 5 stars (Pest Patrol Review) - This excellent product removes all manner of spyware and keeps the computer running at top efficiency. 5 stars (Blows away the competition) - I have installed this on multiple occasions, many times on PC's which were virtual "typhoid Marys" with many instances of spyware. Some PCs had "Spybot" or "Adaware" or some other such product which was having no positive effect in either identifying, let alone eliminating, the threats. After installing and running this, the program provides very specific instructions and explanation of what's going on. You can set up automatic updates for complete protection going forward. 1 stars (completely useless - garbage) - at first this seems like the perfect antirvirus program... cheap, uses up very minimal resources, simple to use.. lifetime subscription for free.. what could be wrong? EVERYTHING. see, the problem isn't that this program can't find viruses.. the problem is IT FINDS THEM AND DOESN'T DO ANYTHING WITH THEM. that's right, it leaves the viruses right there!! how is that useful in any way? i looked in options to make sure it cleaned or deleted viruses, but still the log report would announce to me "(this many) viruses could not be deleted or cleaned." well, thanks for nothing. i'm going to return this and get a real antivirus program. 1 stars (Worse Than a Virus) - I purchased CA's antivirus software because I had read some good reviews. After purchasing I downloaded the most current version. I installed it on one of three PCs in the house. All reasonably new and powerful Dells: 2 running McAfee and 1 running Norton. The first PC is XP Pro. The installation went smoothly, with only one "program must terminate" error that did not seem to affect the installation. I noted that the program was smaller in disk space and in memory footprint. I tested this for a week with only one occurrence of needing to reboot due to some obscure failure (red X over the icon in my system tray). I decided it was good to use and purchased two more licenses to install on the two XP Home machines in the house. This did not go well. Now, I have two machines that are requiring me to completely reinstall Windows. After removing both McAfee and Norton from these two respective PCs, they booted up fine. Then I installed CA eTrust Antivirus version 7.0.6.7 and the problems started. The PCs both would boot to the Welcome screen and then freeze. About 20% of the time when booting in Safe Mode they would finally get all the way to the desktop (after 30 minutes of chunking) only to get a message "Windows must now restart because the remote proced...

3 stars (Average, About Same As Norton) - I was told by a friend that this product was way better than the norton one, but after trying both this one slows down your computer just as much. In fact, it is pretty much worthless active protection feature for internet browsing because it slows it down to a crawl (and I have a nice pentium 4 machine). 5 stars (eTrust EZ Armor. Review After 2 Months?) - Well, been using it for awhile and I suppose its been great. Bought for $8.99 with 8 months left is a nice deal. Why do I just suppose its been great? Well, the thing about this antivirus is that it updates 2x a day, almost invisibly and unnoticably behind the background, and works just the same. And when I scan, nothing ever shows up. So I don't know if its really working or not haha. I just know my computer is doing great. Just remember to get the latest version of this antivirus from their site. The firewall works quite nicely even though you have to give it a few days to configure your settings and see what you want and don't want accessing the computer and internet. But the problem went away. It seems to work quite well. Do this to protect your computer. You need at least 512 MB Ram for all the usage but do this to protect from 99% Spyware Adware Viruses Hackers etc out there. Get eTrust Armor for antivirus and firewall, let it update automatically twice a day morning and night, than get Ad-Aware SE Personal, Spybot S&D and Spyware Blaster for immunity against spywares etc before they hit your cpu. Find a good registry cleaner and get avant browser if you want, helps stop pop ups which leads to sites that distributes spywares or viruses. Boom. Its been 2 months, only spyware I got are the usual ones that are ALWAYS on my computer.
